The San Antonio Table is sad to report the passing of longtime Brother Dick “Tricky
Dick” Eckerman. “Tricky” flew flag #124 after his induction in 1990 during the Second
World Zaf in Belgium.
He and his (then) girlfriend Sara Bruner sailed his Catalina 30 “De Ja Vu” on Canyon
Lake, Texas, home waters of the San Antonio Brotherhood Table. Dick served The
Table over the years and led it as it’s Captain for a period. Dick and Sara lived at
Canyon Lake, so holiday fireworks were enjoyed at their property and later Lawn Hydro
Races were staged in their yards. Game Nights were held as an evening activity for The Table.
Dick and Sara married and that was informally announced to our group.
We will all greatly miss Dick’s smile and pleasant attitude.
